Remember remember…
WALLINGFORD 1155 take great pride in organising Wallingford’s annual bonfire night celebrations on the Kinecroft, with a huge bonfire and enormous firework display the event attracts thousands of people from the Wallingford district on the Saturday before or after November 5th.
BREAKING NEWS – WALLINGFORD FIREWORKS RETURNS BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The Wallingford Bonfire and Fireworks will be going ahead this year on Saturday 6th November! Every year, all of the money raised at the fireworks is given back to the community, our local charities and organisations have suffered enormously in the last 18 months and need your help more than ever. We want to make this year a special year, together we can raise more money than ever, and we need your generous help to do this through the following means:
Online Donation – Help us raise much needed funds ahead of the bonfire night by donating now or in the run up to the fireworks.
Gate Donation – Wallingford Fireworks is FREE to attend but we rely on your generous donations on the night as you enter the Kinecroft and when you leave, please give generously!
Purchasing from Wallingford 1155 – By paying for a Hot Dog, Mulled Wine, Glow Sticks or Sparklers you will be supporting the event and helping us raise even more money for local causes!
A huge congratulations to Wallingford’s very own Illusion Fireworks who have been providing our incredible fireworks displays for almost a decade! Just recently the award-winning team have added another pair of firework championship winners trophies to their cabinet! Karl, the director of Illusion has a unique talent for designing displays choreographed to music with a unique ‘Style, Rhythm & Scale’ You will not be disappointed with Wallingford’s world class firework display!
This is a crucial year for Wallingford Fireworks, the 2019 event was a financial loss for many reasons, 1155 litter volunteers have been working throughout the year at Xplosive Events who have provided substantial donations to recoup our reserves which have enabled us to put on this year’s event.
We truly need your support more than ever, if we don’t raise enough money this year the future of Wallingford Fireworks and all of the good that comes from the event will sadly hang in the balance.
If you can donate now please visit the link above to help us raise the minimum amount of funding we need to bring back this years fireworks!
Look forward to seeing you all there from 6pm on Saturday 6th November!
The bonfire celebrations display the best of Wallingford’s community spirit with a multitude of local people offering their services and help, from donations of pallets by the lorry load for the bonfire before the event to official money counters post event.
WALLINGFORD 1155 offer local community groups the opportunity to assist the event in whatever way they can in exchange for a share of the funds raised, duties include money collectors, litter pickers, crowd marshalls and helping hands!
